I believe that mankind is entering a new age with new challenges.
Up to this point we have had Democracy and Capitalism striving to optimize productivity and with success. We are however entering an era of new challenges, primarily environmental and poverty of 3rd world nations.
Considering the technology available today I see amazing potential for programmable machines to take over the workload from mankind, and deliver in a global context, with the sole objective to address global needs and demands in totality.
The sociological demands currently stressing mankind is also a burden and the pressures of poverty, madness in a competive culture is beginning to render our civilization counter-productive in an age where our environmental challenges least need it.
I this suggest that the concept of currency and peripheral control mechanisms be aborted and our sole trust be placed on programmed machines.
Machines don't steal; machines don't waste by traveling to work and back; machines are more trusted than what trust man places upon himself.
let us look at the potential.
Can machines autopilot themselves to any designated coordinate? YES
Can machines perform other functions[Plough, sow, harvest, service] YES.
Can machines build structures? Much like a printer prints images on a paper. To a large extent YES
If theoretically machines can remove poverty from mankinds sociology.
Will man steal? NO
Will man's civilization require Policing, auditing, marketing etc? NO.
Will man be violent? NO (no fear of being fired, hated, rejected, poor)
Will mans environment improve? YES (No more duplicate industries competeing, workers going to work, etc)
Will overpopulation be bad? (NO, all office buildings becomes living space)
Will man go to war? (Not soon, efficiency renders world clean, and productive and fossil fuels are less wasted. we gain thousands of years in time to refine other sciences in search of energy, we also liberate more thinkers by pulling them out of the unnecessary crafts)
It seems that our ineffecient style of civilization is the very reason for all our problems.
we can live in love and trust simply by removing this stress.
I believe that mankinds collective goal is to address our problems collectively with the most efficient method we can think of. I hope you think so too.

I believe that mankind is preoccupied with improving the human condition, or his own personal condition.
ReplyDeleteHowever the best he can ever achieve is happiness.
BTW - SAIOI site needs fixed to allow other post - do you know how to do that?
I am very grateful for posting on the SAIOI and don't want to be the sole custodian, it is a national thing.
So please advise as I need to reformat it.
We can all only dream of improvement, but I want to instill a thought that selfless coordinated improvement is generally more efficient.
ReplyDeleteLets say both you and I need to cross a river. If we both build bridges we waste materials and we work twice as long.
if we work together we save half the material, and we both only build half a bridge.
When people identify their common goals a collective solution makes more sense than an individual one because it can be done quicker and coordinated.
However, generally humans are lazy and get negative when some aren't working as hard... the solution.
Build machines that address collective goals. Machines will always work just as hard.
